Proliant New Zealand Limited Receives ISIA Traceability Certification

Following an audit performed on May 9, 2017, on the behalf of the International Serum Industry Association (ISIA), Proliant New Zealand Limited has been recognized as Traceability Certified.

In 2006, the ISIA was formed to establish, promote and assure compliance with uncompromised standards of excellence and ethics in the business practices of global animal serum and animal derived products supply industry.

As the ISIA states, a company may only earn a Traceability Certification after being audited by an independent auditor according to the ISIA Traceability Audit Checklist and found to comply in all respects with its requirements.

Proliant New Zealand Limited, as an ISIA Traceability Certified company, is required to maintain records of traceability of all stages in the supply chain for serum batches. This includes auditable history of quality and quantity of materials from the point of collection, and documentation supporting all stages of processing and transportation or commercial transactions.

After receiving its Certification, Proliant’s New Zealand facility (Feilding) joins its US facility (Boone, IA) as being ISIA Traceability Certified. Proliant Biologicals is the only Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA) manufacture in the world to hold two site specific ISIA Traceability Certifications.
